Preparation

Cook the beef

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  • In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.

  • Add the beef*; season with the spices and S&P.

  • Cook, breaking up the meat, 4 to 6 min., until cooked through.

Mise en place

  • Meanwhile, halve the cucumbers lengthwise; thinly slice crosswise.

  • Medium-dice the tomatoes.

  • Halve the lemon; juice ½ and quarter the remaining ½.

Warm the pita

  • Warm the pita directly on an oven rack, 1 to 2 min., until soft and pliable.

  • Transfer to a cutting board and cut into wedges.

Make the salad

  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the lemon juice, a drizzle of oil and S&P.

  • Add the cucumbers and tomatoes; toss well.

Plate your dish

  • Divide the salad and beef between your bowls.

  • Dollop the tzaziki over.

  • Serve the pita on the side.

  • Garnish with the lemon wedges. Bon appétit!
