All the easygoing fun of Sloppy Joes with an extra twist from Korean flavours. This feel-good recipe features a combo of sesame, lime and BBQ sauce on organic ground beef, and a sharp kimchi finish. But it stays crisply Clean15 with lettuce and cukes.

  • 1 Lime
  • 15ml Minced garlic
  • 66g Organic kimchi
  • 15ml Toasted sesame oil

Cook the beef

  • In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.

  • Add the beef*; season with S&P.

  • Cook, breaking up the meat, 4 to 6 min., until cooked through.

Mise en place

  • Meanwhile, halve the cucumbers lengthwise; thinly slice crosswise.

  • Juice the lime.

  • In a small bowl, combine the cucumbers, ⅔ of the lime juice, a drizzle of oil and S&P.

  • Separate the lettuce leaves.

  • Roughly chop the kimchi.

Make the sauce & coat the beef

  • To the pan, add the garlic and cook, stirring often, 30 sec. to 1 min., until fragrant.

  • Add the BBQ sauce, sesame oil and 2 tbsp water (double for 4 portions). Cook, stirring often, 1 to 2 min., until the sauce slightly thickens.

  • Add the remaining lime juice and S&P; stir well.

Plate your dish

  • Divide the lettuce leaves between your plates.

  • Top with the beef and cucumbers.

  • Garnish with the kimchi. Bon appétit!
